Ecco come una bella e semplice idea, è diventata realtà

L’inizio

Nel 2009 nel Comune di Torre Pellice la Commissione Ambiente propone l’idea di recuperare oggetti ancora validi a quella Welfare.

Il progetto prende spunto da quello ottimamente strutturato a Colmar (Fr), bella cittadina dell’Alsazia.

Si inizia così a ragionare con tutte le associazioni facenti parte delle due Commissioni Consiliari, che portano esperienza e saggezza per arricchire al massimo il progetto.

Si susseguono molti incontri in Sala Consiliare: il 25 novembre 2012, in occasione della Settimana Europea Riduzione Rifiuti viene firmata la Carta d’Intenti.

Con la firma del Sindaco Bertalot nasce “Il Riuso-diamo una seconda vita alle cose”!

Oltre 21 Associazioni firmano l’adesione.

Grazie alla disponibilità della Cooperativa “Nuovi Obiettivi” la sede diventa l’ex Scuola Mauriziana e la dependance. All’inaugurazione l’entusiasmo coinvolge tutti. Musiche, goffri e stand colorano il prato.

Le interessanti serate con M. Pallante e R. Cavallo spiegano la strada da adottare per diminuire i rifiuti.

Ma Il Riuso è molto di più: il coinvolgimento delle scuole e la partecipazione ad iniziative ambientali permette alla nostra idea di andare oltre i confini di Torre Pellice, il book-crossing, il coinvolgimento degli assistenti sociali e di nuovi volontari, gli innumerevoli aiuti offerti ai più bisognosi e alle varie associazioni.

Il rispetto ambientale si sposa con responsabilità sociale, infatti il progetto Spreco Zero che ne segue conferma che siamo sulla strada giusta.

La nuova sede

Il successo dell’iniziativa va oltre le più rosee aspettative. È ora necessario dare una forma giuridica più stabile e una sede più adatta.

Nasce così l’Associazione: Il Riuso – Diamo una seconda vita alle cose.

L’Amministrazione Comunale mette a disposizione dell’associazione la nuova sede in Via Pellice 6/1, la ex Stamperia Mazzonis.

I volontari con grande lavoro ridanno dignità a questo locale dalle enormi potenzialità.

Il locale viene risistemato e, con il gusto che contraddistingue i volontari, messo nelle condizioni migliori per accogliere la clientela e le attività.

I lavori

Il locale abbandonato da oltre vent’anni viene rigenerato, l’attenta disposizione degli oggetti e dei messaggi ambientali, la voglia di riaprire viene molto apprezzata da tutta la cittadinanza torrese all’atto dell’inaugurazione che avviene nell’ottobre 2015.

In tanti passano a fare visita: chi per fare i complimenti, chi per dare una seconda vita agli oggetti, chi per fare un’offerta, chi per guardare i cartelloni educativi, chi per aderire al progetto e chi semplicemente per scambiare due parole con i volontari.

È un successo!

Gli incontri conviviali con i condomini, gli amministratori ed i cittadini torresi rafforza la voglia di migliorarci. Mancano luce ed acqua, ma con l’aiuto di tutti, non a lungo.

Non siamo gelosi del nostro progetto: la nostra mission è proprio quella di farlo conoscere ad altre realtà. Per questo ci troverete spesso fuori delle nostre mura.
